Finding support can take energy, especially when you’re already feeling overwhelmed. Online therapy makes room for connection without adding a commute to your day.
I’m Adrienne Burns, a Licensed Professional Counselor offering therapy for adults navigating trauma, grief, burnout, and life’s difficult transitions. Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing with warmth, curiosity, and attention to your pace.
Whether you live in a busy city or a small mountain community, we can meet virtually while you’re located in Colorado.

Care beyond your ZIP code
Connect with a therapist whose experience and approach fit your needs, even when specialized support is limited in your community. I work with adults located throughout Colorado.
More room in your day
Skip the drive, traffic, and parking. Meet for your session from a private space without adding travel time before or after your appointment.
A familiar place to begin
You might choose a comfortable chair, keep a blanket nearby, or have your pet beside you. We can talk about what helps your space feel supportive and private.
We’ll explore together whether meeting online feels like a good fit for you.
What to expect from online therapy
You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first session. We’ll take time to get comfortable, talk through your questions, and find a way of working together that feels manageable.
A secure place to connect
We’ll meet by video through a secure telehealth platform. You can join from a private space in Colorado using a computer, tablet, or phone with a camera and microphone.
Time to get to know you
Our first sessions will focus on what brings you to therapy, what you hope for, and the experiences and supports that shape your life.
A pace we choose together
You’ll have a say in how we work. We can make room for conversation, grounding, and approaches such as EMDR or body-based practices when they fit your needs and preferences.

Yes. I offer EMDR through telehealth, with time for preparation, grounding, and getting comfortable with the process. We’ll discuss your needs, your environment, and the tools we can use online before deciding whether and when to begin processing. Your readiness, preferences, and pace remain central to our work.

Before we begin, we’ll discuss a backup plan so you know what to do if we lose connection. If technology interrupts a session, we’ll follow that plan to reconnect and determine how to continue. You’re welcome to bring up any technology concerns during your consultation.

My practice is private pay, and I do not bill insurance directly. You can find my current rates and information about out-of-network options on my Pricing & Insurance page. We can also discuss fees during your free consultation so you have a clear understanding before scheduling.
