What to Expect in a TCTSY Group Session
Each session is 60 minutes and follows a consistent, predictable structure to support a sense of safety. We begin with a brief check-in and orientation to the practice, followed by gentle, guided movement and optional shapes offered through choice-based language.
You’ll be invited to notice sensations in your body and make choices about how you move, rest, or participate—there is no “right” way to do anything. Periods of stillness and rest are included, and you are always welcome to opt in or out of any invitation.
There is no pressure to share verbally, though space is available at the end for optional reflection. The focus remains on your internal experience in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Virtual Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) for Grief
This 6-week virtual Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) group is for 6-8 adults experiencing grief who are seeking a gentle, body-based way to reconnect with themselves. Grief can feel overwhelming, disorienting, and deeply held in the body.
Unlike traditional yoga classes, TCTSY is not focused on how poses look or doing anything “right.” Participants are invited to make choices based on their internal experience, supporting a sense of agency during a time that can feel out of control.
Throughout the group, we will explore movement, breath, and stillness to gently reconnect with the body and build safety, awareness, and self-trust.
This group offers a supportive, non-judgmental space to move at your own pace, creating opportunities for reconnection and healing.
